Love Not Returned
I'm crazy about this guy. I've
loved him for a long time and he doesn't know it. He's got a
girlfriend he's had for about a year now and they seem happy.
I know it can never be, but I really need
some ideas on how to get over this. My heart is breaking and I
want to move past this point.
Our hearts go out to you. Love
unreturned is one of life's hardest roads. We can't take your pain
away, but here are some suggestions for moving on.
Put in a supply of good ice-cream and
a pair of comfy pjs. Take a few days off of work and literally
give yourself time to "grieve" about this heart
break.
Take this time to feel as sorry for
yourself as you want. Let it all out. Cry, eat ice-cream and
let it out.
But then...you have to take equal time
after this, to count your blessings. You must make conscious
efforts to list the things that are good or working or healthy in your
life.
Balance is everything. Take your
time to hurt, but then to pave the road to healing, accentuate the
positive.
