Demons and Evil Spirits
My husband is convinced he's being
tormented by an evil demon. His parents are very staunch Christians and
have raised him to believe in such things. He blames everything
from his skin rash to his bad moods on this demon's stalking him. I
can't take much more.
If you're not a religious person,
living with someone who is very religious isn't always easy.
Spiritual differences are often insurmountable in a couple situation.
If you have a church or path, talk to
your clergy about this. If you're a non-believer in demons, then
you may not be able to stick around to watch the exorcism, but you may
want to think long and hard about this. You fell in love with him
for reasons. Re-think those reasons and be sure this is something
you absolutely cannot abide, before you consider ending this
relationship.
It sounds as though he's feeling very
insecure about something or some situation in his life at the
moment. Perhaps counseling may help.
Whatever you choose as a response to
his demon, remember that none of us knows for sure if these creatures of
myth and legend do or do not exist.
