Fear of Dogs
My girlfriend is afraid of my dog.
Corky is a big dog breed and can look scary, but is a big baby.
Jen knows he won't hurt her but she's terrified of him. We've been
planning to marry, but she really is adamant about living in a house
with this large dog. What do I do?
Any kind of fear is hard to get over
and most especially knowing a relationship may be riding on it.
We've seen this happen with smokers who try to live with
non-smokers.
You may need to call in a dog
whisperer of some kind. Jen is afraid because she's programmed
herself to be so. Now she has to open her mind to the possibility
that Corky is kind and gentle and won't hurt her. Dogs live in the
moment. He's probably protective of you, but if he sees that you
love her, then he'll be fine with her.
Phone a few trainers and see what you
